Construction of the Omeheu Solar Farm continues to make strong progress, with more than half of the solar panels for the 38 MW solar farm now installed. This represents an important milestone for the project team, as the project moves closer to completion.
This milestone reflects the dedication and collaboration of everyone involved in delivering the project. We thank our engineering, construction and delivery teams, including our EPC contractor, Metlen Energy & Metals, for their continued commitment to safety, quality and excellence throughout construction.
Next Steps
Construction activities are continuing across the site, with electrical installation, commissioning and testing to follow in preparation for energisation.
Once operational, the Omeheu Solar Farm will generate renewable electricity for New Zealand’s grid, supporting the country’s growing demand for clean energy.
Community Support and Appreciation
We extend our sincere thanks to our neighbours, local community and stakeholders for their ongoing patience and support as construction progresses.
Their cooperation has been invaluable in helping bring the Omeheu Solar Farm one step closer to completion.
